Jennifer S. Mirus

Partner / Primary Practice — Labor and Employment Law, Banking Law

Jennifer Mirus is a partner in the Labor and Employment Law and Banking Law Practice Groups at Boardman & Clark LLP.  Jennifer has represented the firms’ bank clients in all aspects of employment relations, including hiring, performance improvement and termination issues, negotiation of complex and sensitive employment separations, wage compliance, discrimination, disability issues, Family and Medical Leave Act issues, and harassment.  Jennifer has extensive experience drafting and addressing issues concerning non-competition, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements for banks.  She has also conducted workplace investigations and human resources management trainings for banks.  Having worked with the firm’s banking clients for several years, Jennifer has a valuable understanding of the workplace culture of banks and the employment issues they face.   

Jennifer is a phi beta kappa graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a 1993 honors graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School.  She is a frequent speaker for groups including the Wisconsin Bankers Association (WBA) and the Society of Human Resource Management.  She has conducted seminars for the WBA and is a member of the faculty of the WBA Bank Operations School.  She also teaches employment law courses at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Small Business Development Center and is an alumna of Leadership Greater Madison.  She has written numerous articles on a wide variety of employment-related issues and enjoys her position as the Chairperson of Recruiting for Boardman.
