Our employment attorneys regularly represent banks and bank holding companies, as well as senior executives, on all issues affecting employees and the workplace. Our services to employers (as well as to senior executives) include the following:
- Negotiating, structuring and drafting employment relationships and compensation.
- Representing banks before federal, state and local administrative agencies, and in federal and state court, in employment-related suits, including claims of discrimination, harassment, wage and hour complaints, claims under the Family and Medical Leave Acts, as well as alleged breach of contract, wrongful discharge, defamation, and employee privacy suits.
- Drafting and enforcing of and, if necessary, defending against non-competition, non-solicitation and non-disclosure agreements.
- Proactive consulting on all phases of the employment relationship, including the hiring process, offer letters, compensation, performance evaluations, discipline and termination, including expertise on the Family and Medical Leave Acts, Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act, and other federal, state and local laws that govern the employment relationship.
- Drafting and negotiating separation agreements and releases.
- Conducting management and non-management trainings on employment-related issues including harassment, diversity and workplace sensitivity, wage-hour issues, hiring and firing, and proper management documentation.
- Drafting and updating employee handbooks, personnel policies and procedures, and employment-related forms.
- Conducting workplace investigations.
